Some of the questions I get asked is why are you in
business on the Internet? Does it really work? Doesn't all the hype bother you?
Fair questions from my friends that know I am a former Judge. Some, it seems,
question my judgement! But I guess the real question is: Does the Internet
PROCESS work?
First, I guess I am fascinated with the power of being
able to do massive promoting. Yes, I tried spam when I first started. Don't do
it. But the power is still there, the leveling of the playing field, so to
speak. The power to sit in my bedroom and communicate with the world.
Fascinating isn't it?
It is much more than that! It is the possibility
that maybe, just maybe I can make a difference, make some money and help others
in the process. It is the dream! A very wealthy friend once said that "true
happiness is only possible while you are in the PROCESS of accomplishing a worth
while goal or dream". I thought about that. As I looked back I could validate
the statement. Because I never graduated from High School, my greatest struggle
was going through nine years of college, with a wife and three children, in
order to become a lawyer. As my wife and I look back those were also the most
rewarding years. We were in the PROCESS.
Many people building an
Internet business are very frustrated. The reason I suspect is because they do
not understand that Law of Nature called PROCESS. Process takes time and
everything we do requires process. We crawl before we walk, walk before we run;
We work before we earn and earn before we spend (I hope!). If we try to violate
the law of PROCESS we generally fail. We have heard it before in many ways, the
most common - we must pay the price!
My advice is to accept process. To
be successful takes time. Don't kid yourself. To build an Internet Business
requires work and effort. You must promote before you have prospects or
customers. You must provide service before your customers buy or prospects join
you. Then you must support and follow up to keep them. This is all PROCESS.
There is great satisfaction and joy when you see your business prosper and grow.
I repeat, "true happiness is being in the PROCESS of accomplishing a worthwhile
goal or dream".
What is really fascinating, is that we have the power of
the Internet that allows us all, rich or poor, young or old, male or female, the
same opportunity to be involved in the process of being creative and attaining
our dreams. And we will, if only we just follow that Law of Nature called
-PROCESS.
I have found that if you just duplicate (follow the process)
what successful people are doing the process can be fun, easy, simple and very
profitable. Hope this helps someone.
